Hosted by Bonnie Rodriguez, she is a participant in the San Gabriel Mountains Forever Leadership Academy. The San Gabriel Mountains are the recreational backyard for more than 17 million Southern Californians and The San Gabriel Mountains Forever campaign aims to enhance and protect the San Gabriel mountains, rivers, and parks with access for all.
**As a participant, Bonnie plans to connect the community of El Sereno with the San Gabriel Mountains**
Future plans for the program: In May, local volunteers will join Bonnie to remove trash and invasive plants at Chantry Flats.
"I would like to host a 'Nature Celebration' at Holy Grounds, raising awareness in our community about the San Gabriel Mountains and celebrating the 2nd anniversary of the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument (established by President Obama on October 10. 2014)."
